Yeah, I just noticed it here!! I yet dont know very much how toproduce a gif with the frame rate i want. I mean, that was meant to be 24 fps. When I render in video format i goes normal, but when I do the Gif (the only way it managed to preserv the quality of the pixelated aspect) it went slower. Anyone know how to make a gif in custom frame rate? Also, how do I render it in video and preserv the qaulity (make it still pixelated, not a blurred drawing). Tahnks!!
hehe, i thought that was sweat from the running but yes you're right they must be stray pixels.
This appears slow because you didn't specify a frame delay (set at 0), browsers display this as 0.1". It looks good at 0.03" and fast at 0.02".
As others mentioned, it looks like the head was held tight while it moves its limbs in the air. Add some head move and you're good.
The frames are good and smooth but the lines are a little bit messy and you have stray pixels in white around the head.
The whole sprite sould perhaps bob up and down to signify he's propelling himself off the ground with each step. And also the animation speed should be much faster but other it's actually quite a well done and smooth attempt.
Some head/shoulder movement would definitely improve it. Legs and arms look good.
I use Photoshop CS2 to pixel and ImageReady to animate (it's a PS clone that came along with PS until CS2), don't know about other software. You can get it here (I never posted this), you'll just need to sign up. It's old (~10yr) and still works on W7 but maybe not on anything newer.
It exports to video too. I've only done it once and it was crisp, but maybe I upsized the pixels first (nearest neighbor).
