Stareaters are semi-etheral creatures. They travel through universe and consume stars (well that's obvious). They store energy in their tails, forming energy orbs. Sometimes an orb drops and a new star is sown. It is believed however that such star is actually a stareater's egg, but there's no strong evidence for that statement.
