I think pixel art this size is kinda pointless and redundant from a technical aspect, but this sure is artistically impressive.
As I stated in the description, yes it is based on the original designs

@Finlal: Yes! Earthworm Jim is one of the best cartoons of the 1990's. Not only was it quite funny, but it also had some beautiful old school art style and animations, in a time when most cartoons would go with a far more simple style (Dexter's Laboratory, Powerpuff Girls, etc)
