A mockup I've been working on for the past week. Intended as a folio piece but I'm pretty fond of the idea so who knows maybe it will go somewhere. About 50 hours.
I wanted to make something reminiscent of my favourite pixel art game; Wonderboy 3 for the sega master system. Pretty much just inspired the resolution, the blocky tiles and the 32x32 sprite restriction. Also a lot of gameplay elements that aren't represented here. Everything is designed to be theoretically usable in a game.
Not sure how many colours exacty. GraphicsGale says 28. Palette chosen with the arbitrary limitation of of each channel either being 00, 3f, 7f, bf, or ff. Inspired by Helm's suggestion of working at rgb 333 or 444 over at pixelation.
