The top right scene I Think has a mixture of Ninja Gaiden for NES feel, it's awesome- would totally play.

I love the browner screens.

The greyer screens really look like they could use a dash more colour variation.

Thanks for the comments :)

for HZoltan: I chose the moon with the face to give the game a totally bizarre and unrealistic look

for ParkerBabyDiaperCompany: I can assure you that when the game is moving all sprites are clearly visible

for Manupix: unfortunately the widepixel is not suitable to show certain details, so many games for Commodore 64 use this combination

this video youtu.be/3rzPY6kt0IE shows the game in early development stage, there are some bugs here and there but we'll release a new video and a short demo soon

Partly agree, although they're not so hard to see when noticed, and they would stand out well enough with animation.

The mix of single- and widepixels bothers me in some places such as stained glass, wall rugs.

Pretty nice mockups overall =)

I like this, so authentical :) And good luck for the game!

(I don't know the actual genre, so just an oppinion: maybe a normal moon would make a better fantasy feeling.)

There's a serious problem with clarity. None of the characters pop at all. I couldn't tell whether there were any characters until I zoomed in and looked very closely.
