Check out the 'Colors! I don't get it' thread in the resource section of the forum.
I use PS but the app does not really matter for pixelart.
I don't know much about photoshop, but in GIMP there is triangular color picker. I guess there is something like this in PS.
So you just pick your main color and each time you want to make it darker you rotate the triangle closer to blue/purple. Don't be afraid to rotate it too much.
For lighter colors rotate trianlge closer to yellows.
Hi Muxaun!
I've reuploaded the image with its original size and removed the palette, thanks for the info.
I think the white pixels you are refering to are little light reflections i've made, so... they're intentional.
On the other hand, I'm completely agree with you about the color palette, I'll try to improve it in my next works.
Speaking the truth, I don't know how to pick up nice colors properly. I use photoshop and the range is pretty big. Any tips?
very nice, but:
1. You should not prescale the image. It doesn't fit into challenge size restrictions
2. There is no need to include the palette
3. there are lots of loose white pixels.
4. The palette is boring a little bit. Try using color shift.
Yes I did read that thread (and discovered the awesome Syosa's pixelart). But I guess I need more practice haha
Thanks for your comment!
