@Ptoing seen a running animation of it on google images and I wanted to practice some animation as i'm kind of crappy at it. Hadn't a clue what it was from though so I figured it was just a generic bird. I'll update my description now however. Also going to change it more so it doesn't resemble it as much.
Edit: changed it slightly so it doesn't resemble Fish and also resembles a bird more.
This is clearly based on Fish from Nuclear Throne. Idle animation of fish
@Boder thanks for the compliment and advice, i'll have a mess around with the colours now. As for the highlights i'm not quite sure, I haven't got much knowledge when it comes to lighting etc so yeah I guess there's a spotlight coming from the right of the piece (front of the bird).
Edit: Attempted changing the colours but photoshop is being a pizza poop and isn't saving the image with the new colours for some odd reason, hasn't happened to me before but oh well guess the piece will just stay the same.
I approve of the character, the animation, and the idea in general.
I think the pastel-y colors suit the piece in a way. But I don't think you've nailed the interior. To see the details, maybe more contrast?
Also, is that a front spotlight shading?
@Mandrill haha thanks! whilst making it all I had on my mind was the intro beat to The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate History, no idea why I did but I couldn't get it out of my head and as a result this piece came out of it. I just listened to the intro and looked at the piece at the same time and it was splendid 
Fun Fact: I know all the lyrics to that song even though I haven't listened to it since like 2006 or whenever it was first released haha
Cute little chappie! No Idea why, but his is somehow really hypnotizing. 
The colours are looking great and every pixel is perfectly placed.
