The term 'Flesh Contagion' is a derogatory description of this species, whose cellular mechanisms do not engage in net-entropic respiration or photosynthesis, but rather use the same scientific principles as necromancy to allow continued function without food intake. The unfortunate side-effect of this is that the Flesh Contagion is effectively undead from birth, and thus spread Blight just like any other necromantic construct would.
