The Crimson Legion is a militant nation-state dedicated to a philosophy of martial valor. Some time ago, the Crimson Emperor led an army to face a regiment of celestials in combat, and actually managed to cripple the wings of two of the angels, capturing them alive.

Since then, warrior-maidens wielding celestial magic have joined the Crimson Legion's front-lines. The fate of the captured celestials are unknown, but most speculate that they were used as reagents in some unspeakable ritual, and their bloodline powers harvested for the Legion's own use.

I love every last one of these. I especially like the guy with the brick-pattern shield.

@Brolom: They're not an actual coded faction, but they do fill all requirements to be made into a faction. I've even got stat blocks for'em and everything. Wesnoth was where I started pixelart, and its style is still the most influential of anything on my own art style even now.

Kind of reminds me of Battle of Wesnoth sprites. Did you use these for a campaign or faction extension?
