I checked your references. Judging from those, I feel that this piece is a lot closer to genuine creation than the other one, good job. Keep going in that direction, me thinks!

Yep, I did- Literally the first row of pictures when you google-search "anglerfish" because I can never get their mouths right. Did you use reference like last time? If so, could you post it.
The shading came out reeeeally nicely on this. And something about the teeth and hairs and eyes and tongue all go really well together. Nicely done!
