Well, lookit that, I can still make pixel art. Imagine that.

Around six months ago, Tumblr user/pixel artist JustinGameDesign needed some help with their blog; I provided said help and received a piece of gift art in return.

I haven’t yet written a story to go with the sprite, but I came across the sprite last night and decided to do my own take on it. This piece gave me a better idea of how I picture the character in my head and provided me a chance to test my pixel art abilities after a too-long-for-my-own-good hiatus.

STATS: Between two and three hours, 16 colors (15 + transparency), based on a piece of gift art given to me by JustinGameDesign, colors taken from the CNES-88 palette designed by Arne Niklas Jansson, presented at 1× and 2× sizes.
