This is a good start! Now it only needs some shadows and specs, and you have a awesome looking blue shell! :)

Yeah I know :/ man, I still have to learn a bunch about pixelart and art in general.

but I agree some dramatic lighting would make everything stand out more :)

It does look flat. You should learn some more fundamental art skills like dramatic lighting to make your work stand out.
