Not actually related to russian folklore in any way.

This is a very dark piece, but it's wonderful. Even if it's not connected to Russian Lore it still has a bit of Russian feel to it. Maybe not as cold as I would consider, but just as lonely and stark. Excellent work on the shading and dithering as well.

Amazing dithering, love the use of black in this piece.

Awesome.  How the mountains fade to nothing is a nice touch.

I love the dithering. In fact it strongly makes me think of a pointillist style of sorts.

Lovely. My only crit is that the background behind the hills, while I agree with its vagueness, should be less noisy. good job with the suble impression of trees behind the hills.

mushmush, read the pics description! I know about the real hut of baba yaga: a hut with chickens' legs that has a mind of its own, but I didnt actually draw it there, or didnt even think about the witchs' legend.
I called it "The hut of baba yaga" because I was listening to ELP's rock n roll remake of Mussorgsky's Карти́нки с вы́ставки (Pictures at an exhibition), and this image flashed in my mind. So I called the drawing after the movement that was playing at the time of the flash. Hohoho, almost-obscure origins! Talk about pseudo-depth!

Nice scene! Makes me think of Van Gogh or soemthing. Really nicely done. I have a lot of respect for people that can pull off backdrops/landscapes. I'm only good for characters.

Thanks for the comments. For the color pencil style, its more or less what I was looking for by making the dithering as chaotic as possible. But maybe I could have mimmiced pencil strokes better.

This is awesome!  It looks so surreal!  Looks as if it was colored with colored pencils, too.  5/5 and fav!
