This was art I made for STEAM Fest 2015 at Lowe Mill Arts & Entertainment in Huntsville, AL.
Nothing to do with steampunk, STEAM stands for Science Technology Engineering Art & Math. This will be the second annual event exploring the relationship between science and the arts.

Just wow! I'm a fan of such kind of isometric landscapes. The painting on the wall is so fabulous. The palette however looks kinda tuned down, like if it was created for 1.8 gamma correction, not 2.2 like in sRGB color space.

Might be just my display, but when I compare this piece to other art works I have saved that I employ as standard references to how bright a piece should be, it comes off rather dim.

Yeah, they originally would have but I had to beef up the size to make them more noticeable since it's a poster design. About the palette- maybe it's a difference in monitors? It seems fairly saturated to me.

Oh, and those RC cars wouldn't fit underneath the walk :)

The composition and the details are very impressive!

My only gripe is the muted palette - I think the scene would benefit from more vivid, brighter colors.

Great work, It reminds me of the style of the e-Boy.

Because it's a challenge entry. Isn't it amazing what someone can do with just 4 colors?

user
Mega_19 (Level 6 Manager) @ 4/15/2015 12:34
