Man. I was going through some old files I saved online and came across these old suckers. I remember doing this YEARS ago. This was around 2006 or 2007. I had just graduated High School and was starry eyed. I wanted to animate so badly, with any silly idea that hit. I had an idea that I could do a weekly animated pixel short/episode featuring users on the pixelation site(now known as 'wayofthepixel.net'). At the time I was still using Microsoft Paint to draw my pixel art. I was going to center it around a funny tongue and cheek story about pixel art antics, which revolved around techniques and mockery of the like. It featured a user from way back when(not even sure if he still posts or not), along with a character he created as well(the 'Yus' bird). Though I meant no harm with his inclusion, looking back I do see it was possibly in bad taste to show him in that light. Once I was advised of the issue, I never touched it since then. Seriously, though, I checked it out and found I had over 477 frames with both parts in total! What was I thinking!?!? I just downloaded the files to my new pc, combined them and am now posting them for you guys to see. WOW, I was sloppy! So many problems. Though I kinda' cringe watching it, I'm also proud of having done something like it. I'm just posting this in hopes of showing any new folks looking into pixel art how goofballs like myself started off back in the day. As you can see, no one's perfect... Note: I'm not sure on PJ's policy on wips these days. Hope this passes the current requirements. If not, just let me know, fellas!

Haha, I remember this. Helm is still around and does post every now and then. He also is on here still. Also, the Yus bird is Helms character.

This is the first pixel art movie I have ever seen with this style. Most of them just imitations of some 8 bit games or Sierra-style adventure games. This is amazing, thanks for posting it. I really wish there were more pixel art movies in this style.

Super ambitious and fun! The scenes themselves are well composed and interesting. The YUS was entirely worth the wait.

This is awesome, and I feel like I remember seeing it at some point (not when it was first posted, I'm sure). I can't imagine being offended at being included in something like this--it is majestic to say the least, though of course helm would be entitled to feel that way if he did.
