Hmmm... I think you've got a good start! Don't be afraid of adding more colour- but just make sure it really counts. Basically ask yourself if each colour is necessary. I think a good thing to think about too is why you are doing something in pixel for vs painted and play to the strengths of the medium.
Thanks :)
I tried to make sure i was not getting any jaggies, banding and that the colour and shading was blending well with AA, although sometimes i felt that some general pixel placement was wrong because of the diagonal angle of the lettering. Experimented with dithering but it did not look right for this design. Still new to this artstyle and followed some tutorials to get an understanding of what NOT to do etc, if there is anything else you notice that could be improved and i could avoid in future work that would be greatly appreciated :)
not bad! might have been cool to play with the width / weight of the black outline and maybe get some more dynamic spot highlights.
edit- I might have pushed the colours a bit more. It's looking a bit too flat for how many you are using. punch up the contrast a little and make them count!
Logo and Type design can be pretty challenging but you've got a good start!
for me it reads as hactotae
