These are actually old, but I never posted them so I figured I might not ever go back and revise them.

I tried to maintain some sort of semblance to the actual Gameboy Color limitations, I don't remember exactly what it was, but I think it was 4 colors per tile(8x8 pixels). It wasn't a hard-limitation though so the rules may have been broken sometimes, but I tried to keep it visually similar and invoke that GBC feeling.

I agree with Bark Snarly about the tall grass.

I really like the sand!

Great stuff, I'm a big fan of the gameboy color look.

The sand and taller (or rough) grass seems a little out of place compared to the other tiles which are a lot smoother. Shading style just seems to clash a bit. 

Still, looks awesome overall, I really like hgow the chest and buildings look in particular, they're really well done.

This seems alot nicer than the classic zelda-esque tile sets due mainly to the great colour pallette.
