I like the style it feels like a mix between minimalist pixel art and sunday paper comic strip. A comic strip in this style would actually be cool. It's a very nice piece in my opinion.
Only thing is if the guy is supposed to be floating inches from the ground? Because of the light source directly overhead the shift of the shadow towards the viewer's right side I get the impression that he is hovering inches from the ground.
