a little critique...anatomically speaking the nose is too high and the you've got fingers on three different planes of viewing. Also, the thumbs looks short and seem to lack a joint.

As much as I see that you're going for simplicity, sometimes that can be deceptively COMPLICATED to create. I think that AAing, although a semi-complicated thing, would enhance the simplicity of the piece by letting the view concentrate on the shapes and not their edges. It would give it more flow, as aa is wont to do, and it would simply make it prettier. If you had used none-aaing in some creative way, to make a statement or to enhance the outlines, having jagged lines to call attention to places and smoother ones in other spots, then I'd accept your answer of simplicity but that does not seem to be the case. Simplicity is one of the hardest things to create effectively. Good luck in the future!

7even, -DE- and bunlee: The point was to be basic. And I specificly did not use AA, because I dont want any AA in here. Usually I do, but this peice was suposed to be an exersize in simplism. And by the way it only took be about five, not ten. I never said this was a masterpeice. It was really just a doodle.

nice... but the shine in the eyes is wrong... coming from 2 directions not one. the picture looks abit to semetrical as well. (copy and flip). but its very well made apart from that
