That's wonderful. So bright and vivid! I love everything - the contrast, the colours.
Thanks a lot, all!
@cure: I could sort of visualize what you're saying as I read your comment, but wow, your edit makes things crystal. Though I've known for a long time that obsessing over needless color-recycling is a bad habit, I haven't had a reminder of how much it can hurt a piece in a while now (which is why I should probably post more). Thanks a ton for taking the time to edit this!
@philippejugnet: Mm, I think you're right on both points.
I made a quick edit based on what you two said; hopefully it addresses your critiques. If not, I'll definitely still be thinking about this stuff for future pixels. Thanks!
love it
my only major crit is the colors. I feel like adding just a few colors could give it a lot of life by describing/differentiating more materials. currently it feels a little too monochromatic, as if it were all made out of the same stuff.
here's an edit to show what I mean. and don't hold back just to keep the color count low. it's worth adding a new color or two, even if they're only used on 2 or 3 pixels, if you feel it can improve the image. god knows I used a ton of colors on those sea critters, and that little bit of orange on octoad, or light blue on the bogman, made all the difference.
Well, your preview did trick me into thinking Delicious and cure fused to form Curelicious and then created this piece. I guess this means it's pretty good!
Cool monster
