This is lovely!

I almost missed the anim, a few more hints would help (twinkling stars, flapping clothes etc).

The girl's hands might be more readable (by shading), her pose doesn't read clearly at first.

I think the simplicity in yours works quite well.
The exterior colours are appropriately chosen, the early morning feeling really comes across.
