Thanks, Mandrill. I've reflected recently that I didn't even set out to get a reputation making pixel portraits from photos. It mostly came about because that's what I was asked to do in commissions, which are always excellent opportunities to stretch yourself.

Thanks, Jalonso. It's definitely based on photographic reference of Iwata, although I believe my final version is flipped horizontally when compared to the source photo. I flip my work so often as I make it that my final products are often the reverse of what I started with.

This is why me should value every day that we are alive. Life is precious.
