Do you think that it would be necessarily better if I inscreased the contrast? I felt that the low contrast made the picture look soft, and I really dig that, but I dunno.
Also it looks like it's crying because that's true to the source material! Also thanks for the comment!
Why is it crying?
The palette is lacking contrast, especially the shadows should be darker.
Great clusterwork though, nicely done.
Adding hue shift could be a good way to add contrast.
Maybe make the white go towards blue, and the yellow towards orange.
