You can always try to go to your gallery and under the avatar should be "  Make this my avatar " thing :P

Hmm, first I had to check the box "Allow other Pixel Joint members to use piece as an avatar" and when I submited changes the person icon appreared under the image. I clicked it, and it made the image to be my avatar. And then I edited it again and unchecked the box "Allow other Pixel Joint members to use piece as an avatar" and saved changes... :P Worked for me at least...

I have tried following the instructions to use an avatar but can't find the logo they refer to. Can you help me select an avatar? I am running Chrome.

Click the pencil icon to edit the piece; unclick " Allow other Pixel Joint members to use piece as an avatar " (at the bottom of the page); click submit; done =)
