My first attempt at using the GBA palette and basically me starting over with what i know about pixel art. Tried to focus purely on the lighting. Please, please, criticise! I know there are certainly plenty of areas that even in such a simple picture as this need some serious work.

Thanks for the feedback! Yea i did the GBA palette, not because it was hard, but because i often use too many colours where i dont need to. The point of me using it in this is just to sort of turn around that trend and teach myself that i dont need so many colours.

I don't think that using 4 colors on such a small piece should be _that_ difficult. using a GBA pallete is considered hard because it's used for making sprites for whole games @_@ but again ,for such a small piece, I wouldn't think it'd take away from the quality.

I like this piece a lot! pixel placement is really good and the face is very expressive. If I were you then I'd give his mouth some sort of expression, but aside from that, really cool piece.
