I also dig the colors. Perhaps you should consider making a rotating animation for this sprite? You are already halfway there.

I concur. He needs a little spring in his step. Otherwise neato.

IMO could use a touch of bounce, even if just by 1 pixel. A significant amount of the outline is completely static over the entire cycle, a little up and down would help with that.

I really dig the colours though!
