Damn this is awesome. I can see the sid mier influence shining through, yet it is wonderfully unique and captivating. Agreed on the anatomy critiques but it's not a deal breaker here - however it may be stopping a great piece from becoming the greatest.
Wow, that's a serious piece !
I love the overall image : colors, pictural touch, crunchy details ...
I would only note a few anatomic and proportion problems. (arms-shoulders are a bit off, legs feels a little short).
Great use of pixels !
CELS, Thank you especially for your comment. I've always been afraid that I'm too west-culture-oriented in my visions, and somehow have begun to loose forementioned heritage. That's pretty damn important to me to hear those words from you, thank you kindly!
As for broken arms, maybe you are right. Or I should say you're right for sure. Despite the caracter was built in sketch with skeleton and all that, it could absolutely go wrong somewhere, while I'm overpainting. I'm not confident in terms of anatomy yet, it certainly needs more practice.
So many comments while I was away... Thank you all for the feedback!
This is gorgeous in every way, congrats!! The drawing, composition, technique, palette.. Brilliant!! To the top!
Oh God, I can't handle the amount of old school beauty in this piece. And I think your Russian heritage shines through in a wonderful way too. This should be a hall of famer, for sure.
Maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way, but his left arm and shoulder looks a bit disjointed / out of proportion. I can't quite imagine what his torso and arms would look like under that suit.
Now we are talking! I knew that a more polished piece would blow me away.
Absolutely amazing piece of art!
The coloring job and dithering is downright remarkable. Reminds me of sci-fi art designs from the 70s and 80s
Awesome piece for the intro of a 2d arcade shot em up or beat em up, I can recall Capcoms Aliens vs Pred. Top stuff.
Absolutely impressive stuff (but I'm sure you already knew that). Your pixel techinque deserves detailed study.
Really, really gorgeous. Like always. Love that unique dithering, as well as the colors and general art. Just awesome.
Wow.
