When I first read that the entry was to express an emotion, I instantly thought abstract was the way to go.

I had a nightmare a long time ago. It was a large golden medow of tall grass on a hill, the temperature was hot, and the sky was clear. While I was looking around, I spotted the tall grass shifting a ways off behind me. I ran as fast I could away from the things moving in the medow. There was that feeling where you want to run faster but you feel like you're so slow. Like your legs are trying to move through some thick liquid. Anyways the dream ended with one of the creatures catching me with its fangs right before my eyes. Panic, that's what this piece rekindled for me. Good stuff.

Technically there's eight (the other colours flash too), but there are only 4 visible at a time.

Actually makes me anxious. Probably the best entry for this challenge thus far (and we've only got, what, 18 hours to go?).

Though, I'm pretty sure there are more than four colors in this, if the red bits are actually pulsing as I think they are.

I see a praying mantis, ready to strike.

It's quite different from all the other entries, hardly shows anything and only has four colours, but it still manages to express an emotion, and that's what I love about this piece.

Well done.
