My 4th pixelart. It was inspired by Dwarf Fortress and became the first animation with more difficult movements. It still has some flaws.

Uh... it was more than a year ago...

Indeed there is way too much color, but as I said other work of you, you are truly animation skilled! Also, general drawing isn't bad!

Hem-G, this was my 4th pixelart. You'll see how colour count goes lower as i get more experience. It was really hard for me to get away from traditional drawing. My latest work has only 32 colours. I'll post it in a bit. Don't want to ruin my timeline.

117 colors ??? It's over for this piece '-'

eiyshia, thank you! But there are many flaws. I made swing animation mostly by using cut, drag&drop. If i remove frames, everything looks wonky and wobbly. I left it be, because i had no time to make a full redraw, and thought that looking at these mistakes will make me never do them again.

CooliePixel, thank you! I try really hard to bring my palette to low count colours, but it's still hard for me. I cannot grasp the right colours yet. The animation is not broken, it's of very low quality. I did "cut, drag&drop" on most frames, and now i know, that it looks bad that way. Also i have made a mistake in the middle of the work, messing up frames and framerate. I couldn't fix it without full redraw, so i just left it be, so i can see my mistakes and never make them again.

Anfinity, it was really hard for me. There are a few frames, that i had to draw by hand completely, but without cut, drag& drop, i couldn't manage it at all. I try to get away from this unprofessional technique. I hope that you'll notice that in my next works. There are quite a few more.

A really cool scene, the 'cut and drag' method of animation really hurts it.

Dude you have great ideas and skills! you only need to learn more pixel art techniques and make better use of colors, try to challenge yourself working with a limited color palette.
you could easily reduce the number of colors to 32 or even 16

about the animation, it's a lil broken (the hammer is shaking, his shoulder dances and maybe when the hand goes down it should go faster) but overall you got this.

try reading this tutorial it covers most of the things a pixel artist have to know

oh and another tip!
make your preview image smaller than 10kb so it can be viewed in the front page!

I think the biggest flaw is that the animation is too slow on the down-swing. I think just speeding up the framerate would work. If that's not possible, then maybe dropping some of the frames would work. You already have the smear there to pick up the slack of dropped frames.
