I didn't post stuff in a long time, due to tile fever. The final result to this was a 5 color 48*48 image, I can't get them bigger due to some weird minimalism problems...
Used 5 of the Lindion's sunset palette (8 colors)
Due to this, you can't actually get the palette, but when I posted this it's supposed to be in the queue for being a palette...
I will play around with it more, I think it needs some adjustments (the light blue is tricky to use) :)

Anyway, please give me any impression you got out of it, it helps way more than you think :D

The highlights on the three rectangles to the right of the face are a bit confusing. It shows a light source to the right while the rest shows a light sorce to the left. Maybe remove the bright color except for a little bit on the corners to show it's more in the shadow and behind.
Also, looking at your work really makes me think of the Blaim! manga. Quite interesting.
