Evil has had many faces through the ages - this is but one of them.

This was a study of mine in many things all at once - color management, proportion, realism, shading, lighting.

I choose this devilish human so I could practice a very recognizable face while putting my spin on it.

I made it all from memory, so you'll notice there are too many issues to count that I might do better on a future piece :)

I think pixels done from memory always excel those done from references. You got to put much more effort and artistic skill into them, and this shows. Especially when it comes to style.

Very well done piece. Clean, sharp, great colours and excellent composition.
