Looks more like a cheese river than lava.

Yes, thanks. I was afraid that changing the background would even make it harder to see the bg. So I didn't change it. Hhmm, though I don't see why it would lack contrast.... Zoom in x2 or x3 and you will be plunged in details.

its good, but it's hard to see what's going on, besides the title :P

Maybe some contrast would help, and a more defined background instead of that solid colour ;)
