Net animation on this in spite of a couple of minor niggles - like it, especially teh blurres sword swipe...
The feet-sliding would be an issue even if he was completely naked. The problem isn't mobility, but that the foot motion doesn't appear to have any action-reaction going on, they're just sliding for no apparent reason. If you're going for that action-pose bounce, why not have the character turn on their toes instead of moving their whole foot? That way you cna get the same upper-body movement, but without moving the feet in any unnatural way, and it should only take a few pixels' worth of changes :]
As a general rule, when a character hasn't been pushed or lifted, you should keep at least one of the feet firmly planted on the floor at a time. The "planted" foot can change as the motion carries on, but at least one foot should always stay fixed in its location on the floor. At least one foot should always "anchor" whatever motion they make. Otherwise, the character will look like they're floating or are in constant danger of falling over.
Yea I kinda messed up trying to decide between how mobile I wanted it. It was very jumpy at first but I thought I should tone it down since he was in armor so now it looks kinda weird. :\
The feet feel like they're sliding across the floor rather than stepping/pushing off, but other than that, I think this looks really good! The sword smear+particles look particularly (hurrhurr) cool. With the shield and helmet-thingie being red, I could see this in a game where those colours distinguish factions.
Looks awesome! But his plume locks in place
