Oh, I see now. Thanks for the example, that's very nice of you (and I love the kind attention on the signature displacement! :) ). Didn't you say that the "transparency" outline border needs to be removed?
Otherwise, I like it. Do you think I should re-upload it?
No worries, buddy! ;)
I had something like this in mind.

Frames the portrait quite nicely I think.
Thanks mate, I'm really happy you like it! And I'm always glad to have comments, feedbacks and advices from you! :)
As for the border, I've made it quickly (just like the whole drawing) but, to be honest, I was not very convinced either. I agree with the fact that here, with the grey background, it's not really pretty. But I'm not sure if I understand correctly your sugestion. Do you mean I should "extract" the face from the background. Because it could be tricky since it merges into the darkness of this background... I don't really know how to manage that... :/
I think you did a great job! I really like the harsh lighting and sharp outlines of each individual cluster. The anatomy reminds me of Paul Bonner's work, and he has the coolest and most badass anatomy in the business! Just fantastic.
One thing I'm not so sure about is the border though. Transparency is not that benificial here. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but PJ's standard grey hurts the contrast. I would enlage the canvas, set a white backround and frame it with a thin black line.
I suggest that you leave it the way it is, that is how you intented it to be. I'm glad to see every bit of pixel art to try something new. ;)
