You hit the nail on the head with the atmosphere!
I like the perspective and the colors (which both I blame for the atmosphere) best and that the shrine is the center of attention and not the torii is a nice touch.
I really like the monochromatic pallette, and the mood, perspective and lighting are top notch.

The torii is very hard to make out against the black background, I think it could use some highlights.
