Make a top ten list based on a subject matter of your choosing and represent those things in the form of a piece of pixel art. Just make sure it's clear what your list is, what items are in your list and what order they are in (everything should have a number between 1 and 10). You can add these details in your description if you like.
The way you present your top ten is up to you; so you could scatter your top ten around a large canvas or maybe animate it in the form of a countdown. Just keep in mind that even though the canvas size and colour count are unrestricted, you needn't go overboard.
A few possible ideas to get you started:
Your list may now include a minimum of 3 items and a maximum of 10.
Canvas size - Unrestricted
Colours - Unrestricted.
Transparency - Optional.
Animation - Optional.

I want so badly to do my favourite fashion houses but it seems unlikely that I will suddenly spout the motivation to make that happen, even I just narrow it to the top three. Which is easiest really. Once I get past Rodarte, McQueen, and Garcons I suddenly feel no passion.
favorite animals, favorite biblical characters, favorite aliens from fiction, favorite warriors, favorite mythological figures, favorite monsters...

If I did that it would probably make it easier to choose, but then I'd be forced to draw bands, and honestly, this is already hard enough drawing one person per place xD
By not drawing bands my entry might not be entirely accurate as to what I really like, but it should be close enough.
I think you should probably keep it down to one list too. Three entries give you less chances of winning (or winning all three places like cure recently did, but that's pretty rare) xD
Perhaps It would be best to create three different entries then.
Can we do categories? Like I'm doing musicians, but I have a very wide taste, so I would like to do a top 3 from 3 era's, 60's-70's, 80's-90's and 2000's. Making it so I would pixel my top 9 musicians overall.

Sorry but i don't see the point of making ten pieces.
Making a top three would be the same thing, but give users more time to do things better.
In my top ten worst challanges this would get high on the list.
