philippejugnet challenges you to reinterpret a national flag as a scene. For example, you could create an Estonian forest from the Estonian flag:
Canvas Size - Unrestricted, however it must match the proportions of your chosen flag.
Colours - Unrestricted.
Transparency - Only if your chosen flag is non-rectangular (for example).
Animation - No.
Maybe. But at the same time, it makes the restrictions almost pointless if not being adibed by and therefore the common ground of the "offending" challenge entries dissolves so that they become random PJ submissions.
It's the entries that really use the flag's features and are readily apparent, when you compare the flag to the pixel piece, that I look forward to seeing for this challenge.
well, I guess its not a problem =). Otherwise the challenge would be so much booring
I think some are getting way too liberal with their interpretations - not really matching the shapes/objects of their chosen flag.
from my friend stephan (kosovar) : "I like our flag. It's not supposed to be beautiful. It's supposed to say, "this is who we are. this is the land we've been fighting for. these are our borders as we made them. it's a very positive national symbol."
bueno. este será el primer challenge en el que participaré. espero los demas tengan piedad
This is a fun idea.
That's interesting about the dimensions Adarias.
Was looking through some flags.. Some of the newer ones are really ugly; like the flag of Kosovo for example . The shape of the teritory and some lousy stars.. great. That must be the tackiest flag ever.
> however it must match the proportions of your chosen flag.
if this is an actual rule, be sure to look these up, as they might surprise you. The Union Jack is 2:1, while the tricolor is 3:2, and the American flag is 19:10. Sweden is 8:5. Most others are 5:3.
heres a list of nations www.abc.net.au/civics/oneworld/nationlist.htm
This is interesting, hmmm,, where to begin, where to find inspiration.
Great idea for a challenge! (I liked national flags since I was a kid)
