Design a single playing card from a new and original pack of cards - any type of playing card is acceptable; consider looking at Tarot cards or Magic: The Gathering as inspiration.
Canvas size - Exactly 88 (width) x 120 (height).
Colours - Max 18.
Transparency - Optional. Only outside the edges. Your card doesn't strictly need to be rectangular.
Animation - No.
With this challenge, I imagine as Susan Kare, designed the sprite of Solitaire game :)
Thanks Gecimen. I should have some time to work on something on Friday. Uni just started up so I'm busy as heck.
Haha sorry, I didn't see you were the challenge's submitter.
Well yes, the "visual design" must be original, as in you can not copy any exsiting card (as in every challenge) but you can make a new MtG card or an original king or queen for standard playing cards.
I disagree, the wording indicates that the "pack of card" itself should be new and original : Don't copy the layout and design rules of an existing game.
Any card game.
You can draw an "original design" Ace of Spades or a Magic or Yu-gi-oh like card. Whatever you like.
The only limit is that the card must be your design.
It looks like their saying a whole new card game to me, And I think the canvas size is referring to the shape of the card.
By playing cards, do you mean the standard four sets of ace, spades, hearts and diamonds - or an entirely new card game?
Also, is the width a reference to something? (88 is an unusual number)
Rised an pixelled and posted! :)
