Also! I've seen a few people get easy shinies on their birthdays. Might be coincidence?

The same artist worked on a lot of the games that inspired mine, so it's no surprise :D
Only found out a while ago that a bunch of the games I really liked were made by the same people. (Shadow of the ninja, shatterhand, ninja warriors, gundam wing on SNES)

Thanks, I'll work on the font. I've stumbled with pixel fonts before. Needs more practice.

Went ahead and made a font that has different widths for characters. Now the font is way better. The first level is complete, which means 10%  of the game is done.

That's a really good idea to add AA to make the backround seem more distant or out of focus. Might warrant some experiments in the future. I guess it shows which games I've played a lot

Yeah, the chibi might have gone a bit too far in MM powered up. Wasn't a bad platformer, just felt off-character.

Floating points get rounded somewhere in camera, background position, texture position or texture mapping. You need to make sure everything is either snapped to pixel positions or have bleeds in the textures if the assets are scaled.

Hey, I hunted down some of the noise. It's still not perfect with some noise left on the animating parts. I gotta figure out where it came from in the first place. Thanks for pointing it out guys.
