Wow.  Well, I agree with you that her original design is more pleasing than my pixeled version, but my intention wasn't to copy the style in which she was drawn, but to put her into my own.  It would be no fun for me if I didn't put my own spin on it.  Apparently my spin made her more generic, but to each their own. X)

Manupix - I wanted to use the pose from the ref pic and put it into my style, which, as I said in the comments, is very similar to the style she was drawn in, but looking at the ref pic again... it did end up very similar. -_-

I saw this on DA already, I didn't realize it was traced then and knowing it now doesn't take away any of my love for this piece.  It's absolutely beautiful, the shading is so smooth.  I love it. <3
