You need to get more adventurous with your shading! Break free from following the outlines, and shade to "shape" the objects. You have some cute ideas, they're worth shading well!

101 years seems harsh but when you think about it, how much time do we collectively spend cleaning their crap out of our inboxes? Even my spam filters don't get by the new smart spam.
Lately I've been getting tons of japanese spam, I can't even read it...yet.

The end of the world as we know it will come in 20-40 years when nanotech is completely developed and we need to stop making babies right away, and also decide basically who lives for an extra 100 years and who dies. Let the "class' and moral wars begin ...but before that, we're headed for another cold war / M.A.D. (mutually assured destruction)

By the way, china is now shooting missiles at their own test satellites (thanks for the debris floating around  the earth now , really appreciate it). We're in deep and time is running out. Its not "while europe slept " anymore, its "while everyone in the world sat on their asses trying to talk it out with people hell bent on global domination" . We're making the same damn mistakes we made in WWII, we underestimated the threat and we're letting it get larger and larger instead of cutting it off at the knees.

Regardless of who's fault we think this is, the time for fingerpointing is over. We need to do something, fast.

I'm going a bit off topic here but,

I've never been a fan of apple. They're still trying to fight a "war" that they didn't win 20 years ago. They've always been considerd the "designers" computer but I've never switched. '
It used to be Apple Vs IBM and they've transferred that to Apple vs PC which is stupid because Macs ARE a PC.

They have nice streamline designs, they need to give up the guerilla marketing and just focus on their promoting their products instead of trying to win a competition that doesn't exist. I'm also tired of them trying to market themselves as the "cool" persons computer and anyone that uses anything else is a nerdy business man. Sorry, I'll take the nerdy businessman over the mouthy brat any day.

Apple catches my eye with their snappy designs, but then slaps me in the face with their "holier than thou" marketing. I'll buy their products when they stop blatantly lying about what other products can and cannot do.  I think this sums up how I feel about their marketing right now:

Don't hate the product, hate the marketing behind it :)

Thanks, I like minimalism because it really challenges you to pick out what details are important, instead of relying on "overwhelming" the viewer :)

He clearly stated that is an observational piece. He's not trying to pass it off on his own so give the guy a break, they're trying to learn.

Some of your lines need smoothing and you could use some anti-aliasing on it but other than that it looks good. A good learning piece.

You basically don't start with an outline. You "blob" out shapes with a somewhat larger brush (like 2 pixels instead of 1) and then you work the form, its kind of like painting or sculpting.

If anything Im sure most here would complain about how the US is also pulling this crap, you seem to make a lot of assumptions. I don't think anyone here is on a moral high horse. If anything we're complaining that there's too much of thise "OMG THINK OF MORALS"crap instead of "Have some damn responsibility" .

"Looking at the US from an outsider's view"

I'm Canadian. Do I  not count as an outsiders view?

Oh and If your kid goes out and shoots someone because you have a gun in your house, it is your fault. Why should it be any different for video games?

"In an ideal world I would agree with you - everyone should have the freedom to read, play and do what they like... but we are not living in an ideal world"

An ideal world to me and many others would be people being held responsible for their actions instead of expecting businesses and Television to play babysitter.

Excuse the double post but, daydream why are you bringing up sex? None of us said anything about it here as far as I can read until after your posted about it. How do you know we're immediately against sex in video games? I find it strange as well that people are more tolerant of violence than sex. As Sedge said, Adults should be able to purchase these games if they wish. I was taught art through books, which many featured nudes so sex and nudity do not phase me.

A lot of misquoted research leads people to freak out about sex in video games as well. Even when I was only 12 I was told that children being exposed to pornography made them violent. Which makes no sense to me.
