This is a very cool piece, the area around the head is spectacular and the pose is dynamic. But the loss of contrast between the wings have flattened the image a little, the same goes for the halberd which has some pixels coming through the outline stopping the overlap. The color ramp between the feather on the neck has a beautiful transition though. Overall great work!

The animation is beautiful and that is a very cool logo.

The only thing that bugs me a bit is that the timing feels a little off. I would have slowed down the animation a bit. Especially on the BYTE part of the logo to give the title more emphasis. I would also give at least a one second pause to the logo when it finishes to make the logo easier to see when when the animation has concluded.

But, that is just my opinion on timing. Overall, great work.

DarkFazX, I have to say I believe in your dream.  Your artwork is beautiful and this game deserves to be created. Although, for now all I can offer is my small contribution to your game and the best of wishes. I hope your work continues unhindered and for great success in your Kickstarter campaign. Good Luck!

There is some promise here just some extra work will make this really shine.

I have two personal tweaks that I would suggest. First, most of the color values are a little too close together which make it seem flat, give it some more range from highlights to shadow at it will really pop. The other suggestion I have is to give the tree a more interesting shape and form, right now it resembles a lollipop. If it bulged out in different ways it will make the silhouette more eye catching. As for tutorials, there are as many ways to draw trees as there are people to draw them. I like these examples, you may take from them what you like.

This is wonderful! I have been thinking of doing this challenge as well and after seeing your interpretations of each of the monster types I would like to say that I am impressed. Each one of the characters has quite a bit of life and imagination, the style is clean and well developed. Is there anything you learned or challenges you overcame while working on these characters that might be useful for someone else attempting the challenge?

It would be great if you could finish the challenge just to see the climax of your hard work.

Either way well done!

Simple and elegant. There is a degree of sincere honesty to the character that makes her seem all the more real, and the overall concept is well executed. Excellent job!

This is a very nice piece. Merez had a nice point about the details, however your original version feels a bit more mysterious due to the silhouetted effect of the trees in the background and the pitch black foreground which is not illuminated by the light rays. This allows some question on what is in the foreground and what is in the background flattening the image, which is a nice effect. The choice on which one is more visually appealing is simply a matter of perspective, just don’t be afraid to try something new if its out of your comfort zone. With that said, there seems to be a lot of back story involved with its creation and after looking how you did it on your blog, your approach is quite unique as well. Overall a very interesting work of art, and a great beginning to a project.

Exceptionally creative. You have a talent for grasping something complex out of something so simple. The Idea of the sort of model plates as the base for a sort of military industrial complex theme is unique. The plastic symbols of death, automation, technology, war, tactics, and industry work very harmoniously together. I would be very curious to find out whose inventory this belongs to. Well done!

Excellent work. I love the phasing effect of the Terata monsters, each one of them has a distinct personality. The concept is also very creative, like a mixture of Persona and Ghostbusters.

Thank you Neota for commenting on her and for the for the critique.

I'm still experimenting with different techniques at the moment and I will try to keep those tips in mind for future pixel works. I appreciate your help.

Well done. I like your level of contrast that goes through the whole piece which gives it that nice defined look, especially around where the collar ends. The combination of the reflective surface of the robot in combination of the hide peasant clothing make a great contrast as well. The exposed wire also gives it that worn in look which gives it a bit of a story to boot. Excellent work.

Nice work with the overall stance and tone of the monster, it looks scerene yet immovable. The sumo belt and staff give it more of that oriental feel that can be seen in a lot of yokai monsters which make it feel more authentic. In this way it reminds me a lot of the "block head" monster from Okami except yours has legs and it doesnt have a rain roof. In any case well done.
