oh hey, thanks for the comment! and quite right too, I thought I had explained the why, but it seems I did so only in the forum, in the WIP section.

historically, I think none. no connection. BUT, I actually started this piece by saying to a friend "tell me something you like – I feel like pixelating" (something like that). turns out the guy likes hedgehogs and is named Carlos, so I did it in a format that he could use for avatar (100x100 px).

additionally, although I'm not sure, I don't think illuminations had anything to do with the capitular (the big letter) other than being meaningfull for the whole story/text/song.

the snout feels kinda funny, but I think other than that and the anterior legs (the hand/paw is weird and it's strange to have the right leg hidden behind the head) it's pretty good :P
