Maybe the hair highlight could reach lower in the left side of her hair, like the crescent shape the hair highlight tends to have (at right angle to the direction of the hair).

I understand the midsection moves back and forth at each step, but should the right boob not strech and become smaller when the right arm goes back? At the moment it seems like the opposite.

Also, if you want the boobs to bounce a little like in the previous version (where it looked quite chaotic, though), according to my observations the boob should bounce a little downwards because of the impact of heel meeting the ground.

Maybe the toe end of the foot could be a little bit higher when the leg is most forward.

The, birch, the other generic tree and the well seem to be viewed from a lower angle than the rest. Especially the birch, even more so because its branches are lowest at the back while light is from the right. Trees grow more brances towards the light, for obvious reasons. Also, it looks like you are not attempting foreshortening on the stones the well is made of.

maybe the ladder could be less "fat"

re: It's not blinking my friend ,it's the needles moving back and forth

shouldn't the tips of the needles remain at the same height then? they are just getting shorter now.

thanks for the funny animation.

You seem to be struggling with shading the round head.

I have doubts about is the hair highlights, and isn't the hair a bit dull compared to the awesomeness of the dress?

Also, I am confused about why it should be 18+, is it just because it is well drawn? looks more like max 13+ to me (feel free to ignore), and I see nothing wrong with the crotch. Maybe the upper ribcage looks strangely hollow. The leg seems to lack the same orange midtone as elsewhere between the yellowish highlight and the gray.

well, if the purpose of the image was to creaate a portrait, then the month-long workflow seems like an excessive waste, and a similar result could probably be achieved much faster starting from some simple conversion like tinypic.com/view.php and then doing some cleanup.

otherwise, if the purpose was to exercise converting a photograph into pixelart by hand, estimating the shapes of highlights and the dithering with the eye, i think it is well done.

there is an attractive perspective issue in the finalist mine cart, unless your intention was to use oblique projection (http://www.technologystudent.com/images/oblique1.jpg).

also, the bags seem to have a different perspective.

It does violate a lot of fundamental laws of nature, but there is only one thing that I find sligtly disturbing. The edge of the table does not have the same diminishing perspective as the legs. Probably because the legs are the only thing visible in the large lower dark area and attract attention that way. Myself I would probably consider cropping some of the lower part.

@ Muxaun: Yes, I did. That is a two pixel shift : )

I mean, if it was a game and the creatures should pop from the background, or if the colors were less extreme, then shifting would probably be better. But in the case of just a picture I feel like the shifting versions make me fall off my chair, and draw too much attention away from the scientist. Or maybe I am just tired and therefore my judgement is not representative of the general population?

Here is the shifting version http://i44.tinypic.com/fn4uf7.gif.

Tried a compilation of various shifts in one gif, but it looked like noise so I just picked one that looked best to me.

Ok, I'll try to make a compilation of the shifting versions, and post the link in a few days.

@Manupix: Yes, and the legs could move, and the trunk could move asynchronously, and the body should breathe, and if the elephant stood on those short legs the trunk should not be underground, and there should be some light variation on the scientist, and there shouldn't be one (probably transparent) strange pixel in one of the frames : )

I will correct what I can, the flawed pixel being the highest priority, but I am on a difficult project right now at work and I probably don't have time to fix everything. So I might need to exercise some "it is better than nothing at all" attitude here. Criticism is especially welcome, though, even if just to prioritize the features in some next picture.

@EviLsEyE: As I understood how things work here, I cannot change the image after submitting.
