I completely agree Zizka, i dont think any fan made game will ever be able to completely emulate the essence of an original Mother game. Mostly due to how shigisato itoi would wright the games with very personal themes in mind, pulling from his own life experiences. So in the end we get a pretty good aproximation, but we lose the human quality that itoi brought to the table. I havent played Mother 4 yet, but it seems the creators have big shoes to fill. From what little ive seen though, id say there doing a pretty damn good job.

Thanks Brink, ya i tried really hard to get the colors just right. But as for the lines i actually had a difficult time. I was trying to make them apear thick and cartoony, but the only way i could do that was by creating some unsightly jaggies. I do how ever want to fix it, some tips would be nice.

Thanks for the feedback! :) i was aware of the dark AA, and it was an attempt to make the line look thicker as somewhat of a stylistic choice. But i do see what you mean by the jaggies, i purpusfully put them in the dark areas, but it does look a bit odd on the left side as you said.and as for the AA in the left eye, I'll fix that. but man, i wasn't prepared for someone to scutinize it that much, its pretty awesome to know there are people here that are really passionate about the medium. I look forward to posting here in the future. Thanks for the great advice. :D
