Absolutely agree with Theoden. PJ is a time capsule and in my opinion the strict submission guidelines are what keep it alive. No matter where I'm at in life, I always find time to lurk PJ! I'm grateful to have shared the space with all the amazingly talented artists here over the last 2 decades.

I really like these colors. Unfortunately I think the name and blinking lights take away from the first impression. Since it's not a game title screen, what was the reason for this design choice? Overall I like it though.. favorite!

You've become my favorite pixel animator over the years. You're work is outstanding. Thank you for taking the time to create personal pieces. We need more of that from talented artists like you. Too many artists get caught up doing commissions and don't get to experiment as much. (I'm guilty of this).

Anyway onto the specifics. There's a lot to unpack and investigate in this animation. So many thoughtful details. I'm not a big fan of glitch style animations, since most artists go overboard with the effects. But you kept it simple here.

I notice the background shifts in an unpredictable angle, so it sort of rocks back and forth as it goes down to the left. Great choice. Was this intentional, or a happy accident? A smooth background motion would probably not work as well. I never would have thought to do that. 

I'd love to do a collaboration animation with you some day.

Really awesome image. I would love to see the lights AA'd a little bit so they blend a bit more. The sunset is amazing.

I count 7 skull faces in the clouds. Did I find them all or am I seeing things? I love this scene, the light colored fog at the bottom is a cool effect.

Great run cycle. I've used uneven numbers before and it's much more difficult to deal with. I did find it gave a more human feel to the animation like you said. This may have been placebo though. I also realized in the project after hours of play testing that it really stood out and became distracting because it's never changing. The popping motion started to irritate me. But you are usually you are your own worst critic so it might not have bothered anyone else.

Your animation looks very good compared to mine, but I thought I'd share the lesson anyway. Also I love the car nice clusters.

Man the geometric looking clusters is something I have never been able to do properly. This is very different from your normal style but looks amazing. What's your process like when doing an image like this? The colors are A+ too.
