Ive removed it.

Well at the time I didn't feel it was done enough but liked it for my avatar, I have fixed the color for it now as I didn't realise the transparency counted as a color.

I think it is nice but yes the bottom colors make it look mismatched with the top.. Given the title :P I think you would improve the piece overall by adjusting the lower colors to fit in with the top :) And yes you are right about the dithering up the top..  :)

I like it, but the animation takes it away from it.. perhaps try adding more frames as has been suggested? The part that throws me off the most if is the highlight up near the eye that flashes on and off.. perhaps do it in a darker color or less highlighted one?  :)
