   I'm just new here and I'm looking at all the various portals and activities you have here. The IRC channel is always a good place to start but it seems to be a dead server/channel. Is this still up? I'm trying to work out how active this site still is. 

The set up is one of the most professional I've seen and it's a credit to the site admin. Forums are however suffering traffic problems due to other portal sites like crappy DA and the social networking sites that make people feel their lives are of some interest to other people for some bizarre reason.

Are the staff here all active?

	Everyone here is active. We are always on and going strong. Check out the gallery, weekly challenges and other stuff. Naturally, from time to time certain members slack for a while but eventually everyone comes back as we place a curse on everyone when they join PJ. Once you join you are always a member! ________ As of 12/25/2010 7:21:28 PM PST there are 29974 members who have submitted 36522 active pixel art pieces, 1896 news posts, 668 links, 2490019 ratings, posted 322379 comments, pondered 2311 quotes and saved 191616 pieces as favorites. ________ Pixelart is an old school artform so we communicate old school too: PMs, C+C, Comments on pixelart, the Chatterbox and our favorite way -- smoke signals... ...Next time you go outside and look up, if you see white formations, those are communiques in mid-transmission. 	Yeah I think the IRC is dead. I've never figured out how to get into it anyway :L There's always new art and new members coming in as jal said.

	For a while the irc channel was very active and useful until bots, UNO and everything non pixelart related was all that ever happened there. I gave up visiting but thought it was still going and active :/ It was on slashnet then some other net.. quite sure wherever it is the channel is always '#pixeljoint'. The irc channel Mod hasn't been active lately. Maybe someone will post the link for you here soon.
