CHALLENGE: Egads!

surt challenges you to pixel a scene that could be captioned with the word "Egads!" using only the default EGA 16 colour palette.

A caption containing "Egads!" in the image is encouraged, but optional.

Mis-BUG- Your drawing is freakin' cool!!  Can't wait to see how you use the palette, I would need 101 colors for that one.

that's where i am right now... any c+c is more than welcome for it's the first time i work with this palette and it's giving more than a hard time...

yay but it's not easy to make that bold move... but i just don't wanna quit on that one.
i just gotta abandon that "usual" shading appeal... guess that's why this is giving me such a hard time...
not that easy for something like a first timer...

damn... gotta get brave on this one ;-)

the right ones are CGA, right? i found those on the left in the search engine here but... damn... i got a problem "feeling" those color combinations in an image even though they really fit... guess that's what you meant with going bold... damnit - learning is a bitch :D

Well, hello, this is my WIP so far and looking at it right now i feel that the outlines here do not look as good as in my editor...
Ok, if it's hard to read what's happening, they're monsters. Something like micro giant fighting monsters that someone's gonna see through a magnifying glass and shout "Egads!"... maybe. Or on tv, i don't know yet... any comments? Am i going in the right direction here? Thx!

Well "GOOD MORNING"!

Setz knows better, we can't allow that in the gallery and when the first parental report comes in will be removed from here too. Anyhoo, its totally funny and I downloaded a copy to my HD ;)

@DeathodaDay, a neutralizer in pixelart refers to a single color whose sole purpose in the art is to make other colors blend so that you don't have to add a bunch of colors. Greys are normally chosen but it can be just about any other color too.

Row 2 position 1- uses green as a netralizer between the ywllow and the orange
Row 3 Position 2 - uses blue as a netralizer.

I would love to share my attempt at EGADS woth the forum...unfortunately I am not too hot on the how to get the friggin thing uploaded...urls and going to photobuckets and stuff.....heeeeeeelp!  please. PS:  I think it's quite a cool concept - the urban legend of bloody mary attacking someone in the bathroom via the mirror...again - would love to share BUT I DON"T GET HOW!!!  pardon the shouting...

I need still to continue shading, fill in the hand etc... but it's getting there :)

Just a simple unfinished image of the town of Egads (Land of the Dead). Ill be installing a Killi's soon (Chili's). Any color coments? C&C?
