This pixel is based on the video game Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, and if any of you have played it you will no doubt recognize the character.

So far I have finished the central character and will be starting on the background soon.

I am looking for some C+C on the character that I have so far. I wanted to go for as realistic a look as possible, and the head still looks a bit cartoony for my taste. If any of you could give some suggestions about the head, or even miscellaneous cc about the rest of the body that would be great.

update 1: made some changes to the face and the hair, I feel like it looks better now but I'm still having trouble with the mouth. Any suggestions?

update 2: I think I got the mouth looking a bit better but it still feels like I could do more to the face.

I think I got the mouth looking a bit better, but I still feel like the face could use some work. The issue seems to me like it lies with the shading. I kind of combined some shadow on the face with his stubble of his beard. I think that works ok in theory because the colors are similar, but I think it makes his face look a bit strange.

Is there anyone that can help me out with the face/head?

I think that thereisnocure is trying to say that your using the lines
almost entirely to define his face.
you should use the shading to shape the face more.

Example::

Notice how the shading your using now only defines the shape of
a sphere in general you should use the shading to define the
cheek bones the temple the eye sockets and then use black lines to
define things even more.

Good post, God_Is_Evil.

[EDIT] Even if your skull's eye sockets are slightly out of whack :D
